Most "glass" interfaces blur whatever is behind them. This one refracts it: the map behind a pane is bent at the edges and magnified slightly, as it would be through a real piece of glass.
Buttons are separate pieces of glass set flush into the pane, and a button that is switched on is stained a colour.
The best way to see it is to open one of the apps and move the map under the controls.
What's inside
- One WebGL shader draws every pane and button in a single pass over the finished map.
- Every design value, from the glass's optics to the type sizes, lives in one file.
- Each app carries a frozen copy of a numbered release, so a change to the kit can never alter an app by accident.
